Blessed Lord, who caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: Grant us so to hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them, that we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
The Lessons: Daniel 12:1-3; Psalm 16; Hebrews 10:11-25; Mark 13:1-8 1

Your kingdom come, Your will be done.
We pray for the world:
For people who are jobless, and often hopeless,

For the beauty of this area,
For those who enrich our lives with a rich array of arts For public servants who enrich our common life.

We pray for those of our congregation who are traveling away from home, that they may be kept safe and well and return to us refreshed.

AROUND THE PARISH
Mike and Matt Wood are doing a great job on the windows at 321. In the photo on the left above, the upstairs window shows what almost all the windows that they are fixing looked like before they started. The wood is just completely rotted out. The window directly below it is well on its way toward that look, and so Mike has already begun on that window as well. The two smaller windows to the left of those are the kitchen windows, and they have been completed.
In the photo on the right you will note a ladder in front of the 2nd floor window, which leads to the attic window which is also completed but I couldn’t get all of this in the photo. The 2nd floor window is completed, as are the two first floor kitchen windows. In other words, at the time of these photos, 6 of the totally rotted window frames have been fixed, and the window to the right of the kitchen windows is on its way to being done.
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a
house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow. Melody Beattie
