Our Beliefs

The Episcopal Church is a member of the world-wide Anglican Communion, with 70 million members in 163 countries. We are a community of those following in the ways and teachings of Jesus who are bound together:

            - in our belief that Holy Scripture contains the stories of those who have experienced God in their lives,

            - by the many ancient and modern stories that connect us to Jesus and his teachings,

             - and by daily discovering God's presence around us, finding hope, and listening for God's call in our life.

We believe there is One God who creates all things, calls us to turn from self centeredness and death to new life, and who renews us as the Children of God.

As Episcopalians we promise to follow Jesus Christ. We believe the work of the church is the restoration of all people to unity with God and each other in Christ.

The purpose of St. Paul's as a worshiping community is to share God's radical openness and to invite people to wholeness, healing and hope.
