A WEDDING AT ST PAUL’S
St Paul’s is a lovely Victorian style church and has a delightful ambiance for a small to medium sized wedding. We share our historic building with those who are not members of St Paul’s and with the larger community. In accord with the prayerful consensus of the congregation and clergy, St Paul’s Episcopal Church is available for any marriage legal in the State of Indiana. We allow use of the space for weddings at which our clergy do not officiate. We have a fee schedule and guidelines for the use of the church and the parish hall for weddings and receptions.
In such a circumstance St Paul’s provides the space used for a wedding and the couple makes provision for a musician, clergy person, judge or other officiant for the ceremony itself.
For more information about reserving the space for a wedding call and speak to Marylee at 812 282-1108
An Episcopal Service of Marriage
For the clergy of St Paul's to officiate at the wedding at least one person needs to be an active member of the congregation. We welcome those who wish to become active in the life of the parish. The Episcopal Church requires:
At least one party is baptized
A minimum of 30 days notice prior to the wedding
The couple meet several times with the clergy for pre-marital instruction, and to plan the service
