If you are a baptized Christian – no matter your age or denomination – you are always welcome to “receive communion” in the Episcopal church. Not because we take the Eucharist lightly, but because we take our baptism so seriously.
Visitors who are not baptized Christians are invited to come forward during Communion to receive a blessing from the presider (the priest or bishop). There are no strangers at the Lord's table.
